UC is a deputized HEI for the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency And Accreditation Program.

  9. Certificates of:
    1. Work experience with job description (w/ certification)
    2. Community/Extension services rendered
    3. Recognitions/Awards received
    4. Membership in professional organization/s
    5. Proficiency test taken

Note: *All documents that shall be submitted should be supported by evidence. *Documents should be placed in a long clear book according to the prescribed list.

How do you organize your ETEEAP Portfolio?

  1. Organize your portfolio around the set of goals you are trying to achieve.
  2. Your portfolio should demonstrate to your peers, your tutors and assessors that you are achieving success in meeting competence standards for the course or degree you are applying for equivalency.
  3. Your portfolio should provide documentary exhibits for every claim of meeting competency standards for your academic program.
  4. At the beginning of your portfolio in a well marked section, include important documents that serve as an introduction:
    1. Letter of intent
    2. Your photograph
    3. Biographical sketch
    4. Resume
    5. Letter of recommendation
    6. Transcript of records
    7. Diploma (s)
  5. Work Experience Records - History of candidate’s work experience must be reconstructed in the portfolio, starting with the most recent to the most remote. Only work experiences related to the academic program or course being applied for equivalency should be included.
    1. Describe fully and support with documentary evidence any form of education you have obtained thru sponsored training and workshops.
    2. If in the course of one’s work, you have been promoted from one rank to a higher ranks as a result of assessments or tests, such promotions shall be described fully with evidences of such assessments or tests supporting these descriptions.
    3. If candidate took and passed proficiency tests either sponsored by a government regulatory body or by the employer, original copies of certificates or proficiency shall be included in the portfolio.
    4. If candidate at the time of ETEEAP application is employed by a company or firm, a certification of employment shall be secured as evidence of current employment. Such certification shall contain a detailed description of the job that the applicant does in the company or firm.
    5. Other forms of work-related experiences gained thru informal means like self-study shall likewise be described with focus on what and how knowledge learned thru such means have enhance one’s work knowledge and job performance.
  6. Professional Achievement - Under this component, experiences of the candidate related to the degree being applied for equivalency have to be described and documented. Relevant experiences may include, but not limited to:
    1. Production. What inventions or innovations has the candidate produced? Are they patented? Are they locally, nationally and or internationally accepted?
    2. Publications. What creative or research-based publications has the candidate produced? (articles, books, workbooks, manuals) What is the scope of circulation of these publications?
    3. Extension Services. Has the candidate rendered consultancy services? Lecturing or speaking? Where? When?
    4. Community Services. What services to the community other than those mentioned has the candidate rendered? (organizer, trainer, barangay services etc.)
    5. Professional Development. What training programs has the candidate attended? Memberships in professional organization? Scholarship earned?
    6. Others. What recognitions, awards has the candidate obtained? Any eligibility?

Note: All throughout your enrolment in the ETEEAP at University of the Cordilleras, an ETEEAP staff will assist you organize your portfolio till its final presentation for both internal and external assessors at the end of the student’s program.
